In which every fandom has a purple shirt of sex.
Every fandom.
At the meet and greet I went up to Joe Walker and introduced myself with a handshake and a “Hi, I’m Nicole”. With my hand still in his some girl runs up to Joe with a video camera, effectively pushing him away from where I was.
I’m not a pushy person, so I just smiled at him and backed off. He looked between us for a minute before going back to talk to the other girl. I was a little upset, but I got a handshake from him so I was pretty fine just leaving it like that. A few minutes later I look up to see Joe scanning the room before he looks at me. Pushing through the crowd he comes up to me and says, “We said hi, but we didn’t actually say hi.” He sticks around for a while to talk with me and my friend, and he seems like a genuinely sweet guy. We got him to stick around for two pictures each (my camera was blurry the first time D:) and afterwards he thanks us for coming and tells us to enjoy the show.
I can’t explain how it felt when I saw that he was looking for me. I would have just left it alone (again, I got a handshake, how cool is that!) and I thought that he wouldn’t even think much of it because I was the one who had walked away. But he came up to me, and he found me out. I can’t explain how super freaking cool that is.
This just made me like him all the more!
